Acorn Brewery - Barnsley Bitter

Our multi-award-winning Barnsley Bitter is brewed using the finest quality Maris Otter malt and English hops. Chestnut in colour, it has a well-rounded, rich flavour and retains a lasting bitter finish.
 
The beer is brewed using yeast strains that were used in the 1850s to brew ‘Barnsley Bitter’. Acorn Brewery’s Barnsley Bitter won the SIBA Gold Award for Cask in 2023 and also won a Gold Award in KEG 2024. It also won a Silver Award in its class at the Great British Beer Festival in 2006 and 2015, with a Bronze in 2018. Additionally, it has been a finalist in 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
