Jennings Brewery - Sneck Lifter

Brewed with Maris Otter, Amber and a dash of Chocolate malts with a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger hops - some of the UK's most respected varieties. These combine for a glorious deep amber ale, with russet highlights and a warming character. Complex flavours of dried fruits and hints of spice make a perfect beer to savour, whatever weather the Lake District gives you!
 
Sneck Lifter in many Northern dialects means someone's last sixpence, or someone that used that sixpence to lift the latch on the pub door to buy a pint in the hope that once inside, a friendly face would buy them another.
